FRACTAL ANTENNA PATENT LICENSE ROLL-UP BOOSTS HI TECH FIRM
July 9, 2010
Waltham, MA—9 July 2010-- Fractal Antenna Systems, Inc., a Boston area electronics company, reports rapid growth in its patent licensing program, called a
‘license roll-up’ (LRU). A world leader in antenna innovation and
related electronics, the firm designs, manufactures, vends,
private-labels, and licenses technology built around its proprietary
fractal geometry approach.
The LRU combines a customized antenna or electronics design with a
patent license for a fixed price. The auditing and royalty issues are
thus greatly simplified for the customer, who gets an expert solution
enabled for their application, with reduced effort on future royalty
per unit (RPU) reporting.
Commented CEO Nathan Cohen: “With the timely release of our ‘856 patent,
we understand that the LRU program not only simplifies the access of
enablement of the important fractal antenna technology, but also allows
a happy vehicle for those who have concerns on infringement to ‘get
Cohen added: ”TEAM FRACTAL has assembled an expert group of engineers, attorneys, and those skilled and knowledgeable in the present and prior art to
maintain the value of LRU licensing not only to this firm, but
particularly to our customers. It’s not surprising that getting a
solution tailored to a customer need is far better than unauthorized
paths, which will undoubtedly be poorer in antenna performance and, by comparison, astronomical in cost.”
