Low Profile UGS™ Extreme Wideband Antenna Provides Breakthrough Performance

UGS Extreme Wideband AntennaBEDFORD, MA – The new UGS™ Antenna from Fractal Antenna Systems combines extreme wideband performance and superior gain, in a low profile, lightweight design for use in challenging electronic warfare and signal intelligence applications. Integrating a single fractal antenna into an unattended ground sensor node, the UGS Antenna can be easily deployed to less than three feet tall, while providing a huge frequency range.

The UGS Antenna features an innovative raised phase center design that minimizes ground losses, while improving radiation pattern and launch angle. Packaged or integrated into a radome that is 2.5 inches in diameter, the UGS Antenna minimizes visual and RF detection, while providing superior performance. The UGS Antenna is compatible with self-erecting mechanisms, and anticipates the need for deployment after emplacement by hand, airdrop, or canister launch.

The UGS Antenna handles up to 15W of input power, operates with a VSWR of less than 3:1, and has inherently 50 Ohms impedance.
