New UAD Antenna Combines High Power with Extreme Wideband Performance
BEDFORD,
MA – The
new UAD discone antenna from Fractal Antenna Systems combines 250 Watts of
power handling with extreme wideband performance, making it ideal for high
power transmit applications. The UAD is also considerably smaller than a
conventional discone antenna, allowing it to be packaged in a compact, rugged
radome for reduced visibility.
The UAD operates over a huge frequency range, while offering superior gain. In addition, the UAD antenna is inherently 50 Ohms, eliminating the need for a matching network. VSWR is 2.5:1 or better.
Sealed in a radome that is 7.7 inches in diameter and 5.7 inches tall, the UAD is lightweight and can be employed for vehicle, marine, or fixed use. An optional watertight vehicle mounting kit is also available. The new UAD has been rigorously field-proven and operates in the most demanding environments.
Fractal Antenna Systems was founded by Dr. Nathan Cohen, and supplies products for the world’s most demanding wireless applications. Backed by seven U.S. and international patents, plus numerous patents pending, Fractal Antenna Systems is the recognized pioneer in fractal technology, with extensive research and field experience.
