SUMMARY:

These Malaysian researchers independently confirm the clear advantage to using fractal elements in log periodic arrays. The authors note this fractal antenna, via actual measurement, demonstrates the superior performance matrix afforded by both smaller size with virtually equivalent RF performance—with 27% shrinkage --using the fractal incorporated design. Note that FRACTAL’s scientists and engineers first shrunk log periodic antennas with fractals more than 10 years ago and have achieved up to 50% reductions.
